TOKYO (TR) – A speaking engagement next month will conclude the career of adult video (AV) actress Chika Arimura, who has announced her retirement, according to Tokyo Sports (April 3).
The actress (@chika_arimura) cited health concerns that emerged at the end of last year as her reason for leaving the industry. She added that a resumption of her career is very unlikely.
“The more I think about what’s going on around me, the stronger my conviction about my decision to retire becomes,” the 24-year-old wrote.
On May 2, Arimura will make her final public appearance as an AV actress at Loft Plus One in Tokyo’s Kabukicho red-light district. She will join fellow actress Saki Hatsumi (@saki_hatsumi) on stage for a speaking engagement.
Since her debut in 2010, Arimura has appeared in nearly 800 films.
At the Sky PerfecTV! Adult Broadcasting Awards in March, the actress claimed the Tokyo Sports media prize.
